Charles Henderson Child Health Center hosted a dino-mite party on June 29 with How Do Dinosaurs Say Happy Birthday? to celebrate 10 years of stories with Reach Out and Read-Alabama. Representative Alan Boothe and Teresa Colvin, children's activities director at Troy Public Library, both read to the patients as well as the children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Troy. Other activities included a dino dig, ring the dinosaur, dinosaur puzzles and coloring pages. Children also received dino treats and a copy of the book to take home with them.

Charles Henderson Child Health Center will celebrate 15 years in October as a Reach Out and Read program site and prescribes over 1,500 books each year to the children in the community.
