We had a great 2017 and it was donors like you who made it possible! Our year at Reach Out and Read-Alabama touched the lives of so many.
Together we provided 150,000 new books to children at their well-child visits and 214,000 opportunities to educate parents to build better brains and brighter futures.
We couldn't have done it without:
- partnerships with organizations like Help Me Grow-Alabama, United Way of Baldwin County, Alabama Department of Rehab Services/Early Intervention, Alabama Public Television, United Way of Central Alabama/Success by Six, Jefferson County Library Cooperative
- medical providers that take time during visits to not only prescribe a book, but to also ensure that parents understand the link between reading and brain development
- parents who read together with their child every day, instilling a love for reading in their children starting at birth
- people like YOU who see the importance of building better brains in Alabama’s children
